When we – Hugh and James, the Galileo Co-founders – started Galileo Ventures, we wanted to create something a little different.

Australia and New Zealand is full of emerging founders with immense untapped potential from high school to universities, research labs, maker spaces and beyond.

Galileo invests in early founders who are ready to take their startup to the world. 

Galileo invests $200,000 cash up front. We then help you drive growth through with 12 months of 1-on-1 support and a focus on founder coaching from our network of founders and operators who are currently building (or have built) world-class companies before. It’s unlike anything currently operating in ANZ.

The first cohort will be fully remote due to COVID-19, and we won’t ever require startups to relocate to a particular city to participate in our program.

Our first accelerator will kick off late October 2020. Founders can start a quick application at any time.

We want to be part of the next generation of venture capitalists, and we’re approaching venture capital like we think founders should approach their customers -- creating the best experience possible.

We have no gatekeepers: we don’t ask for warm introductions and encourage anyone from any background to get in touch early. 

We have an updated funding application process with no cut-off dates (we can fund startups anytime). We built our own ‘quick application’ microservice as an easy ‘front door’ to the questions VCs often first ask founders.

We’re on a mission to change how we fund and support the next generation of entrepreneurs at scale.
